Cuthbert’s Mohair Mitts
These fingerless mitts have a simple hole for the thumb and a mock rib cuff around the fingers, double thickness for a lovely edge and snug comfortable fit. With a long, fine ribbed cuff they stay firmly in position and keep your wrists warm and your fingers free to write/text/pour a cup of tea/eat some cake!
Knitted from our Mohair and Wensleydale yarn, which has been spun to 4ply weight and with extra twist to make it super strong and durable whilst still soft and luxurious.
This is ‘Cranky’ Whistlebare’s circular sock knitting machine A modern development of the fabulous cast machines that knitted the troops’ socks in the First World War. Cranky can knit stocking stitch, ribbing, stripes and even short rows for heels and toes and is very busy all the time knitting Cuthbert’s Hand Cranked Socks and Mitts and Smiling Goat Scarves.
